The Contacts tab serves as a centralized hub for all your stakeholder information. As you use the platform to add details of founders and Limited Partners, their contact information is automatically created and stored here.
Before setting up your Investment Committee (IC), let's first look at how to create a contact. To manually add a contact, navigate to the Contacts tab and click +Create contacts.

You'll see a form to add the contact's details. If the contact belongs to an existing portfolio company, you can toggle on the option and search for the company to link the contact automatically.

- First Name
- Last Name
- Organization
- Role.
To segment your contacts, you can use our group feature. By default, three groups are automatically created for you:
Founders Group: Contains the contacts of all founders across all companies and funds.
Limited Partners Group: Contains the contacts of all LPs across all funds.
Investment Committee Group: This group is for your IC members, whom you'll typically send memos to for review. Contacts are not automatically added to this group.

Setting Up Your Investment Committee
The process for setting up your Investment Committee is a great example of how to add contacts to a group.
Navigate to the Groups tab under Contacts.
Click on the Investment Committee group.
You'll see an empty list with the option to Add Contacts or Import Contacts.

To add an individual contact: Click + Add Contact. A modal will appear with two tabs: Create New and Select Existing.
- Create New: Use this tab to manually enter the details of a new contact and add them to the group.

- Select Existing: If the contact already exists on the platform, use this tab to search for and select their name. Click the checkbox next to their name to add them to the group.

Once you have added or imported your contacts, the Investment Committee group will be populated with your members. You are now ready to begin sending memos to your IC for review.
